다이알로그(Dialogue)는 반복적이고 규칙적인 생활에서 무심코 스쳐가는 대화를 화면에 옮긴 것이다. 대화의 등장인물은 가족이다. 서로에게 익숙한 가족이라는 울타리 안에서 사실 그들의 대화는 서로 다른 방식으로 이해된다.





1) 4개의 물컵(Four water cups)
    언니 : 누가 내컵에다 물 마셨어? 
    동생 : 난 아니야. 작은언니가 그랬나봐. 
    엄마 : 위생과 건강 때문에 자기 컵만 쓰라고 했는데, 왜 또 그러니?
    Elder sister : Who drank water from my cup? 
    Younger sister : Not me. I think it was Sooyon. 
    Mother : How often did I tell you to only use your own cup for health 
    and hygienic reasons!




2) 달리아(Dahlia)_
    당신의 사랑이 나를 행복하게 합니다.
    Your love makes me happy.




3) 언제나 활짝 피어있는 꽃
    엄마 : 꽃 좀 그려봐라.
    나 : 어떤 꽃? 장미? 카라?
    엄마 : 아니... 그게 아니라 언제나 활짝 피어있는 꽃.
    Mother : You should paint a flower. 
    Me : Which one? A rose? A cara? 
    Mother : No...I'm talking about the kind that never stops blooming.




4)화분(A flowerpot)
   나 : 저거 밖에다 내다 버리자. 
   엄마 : 네가 쟤한테 뭘 해줬다고 그러니?  물한번 주지도 않으면서... 
   나 : 징그러워 
   엄마 : 너는 몰라. 쟤가 얼마나 이쁜짓을 하는지... 
   Me : Let's get rid of this. 
   Mother : What did it ever do to you? You didn't give it even water. 
   Me : It looks disgusting. 
   Mother : You have no idea how nice this plant is...




5) 발코니(Balcony)
    동생 : 엄마 책에 있는데 진딧물은 안없어진대.
    엄마 : 아이고. 친구가 준 벤자민에 진딧물 있는데... 
    동생 : 진딧물 다 번지겠다. 
    나 : 근데 징그럽던 저 화분은 왜 죽어가지? 
    엄마 : 글쎄... 나도 이유를 모르겠다. 내가 신경을 덜 써줘서 그런건지.
    Younger sister : Mom, I read from the book that plant lices won't go away. 
    Mother : Oh no...the plant that my friend gave me has plant lices!
    Younger sister : Plant lices spread really fast... 
    Me : Why is this disgusting plant dying all of a sudden?! 
    Mother : Well...I don't know the reason either. Maybe because I didn't give it enough attention.
